What we believe in

We believe that we can only solve global issues such as climate change and poverty if the company’s legitimate profit interest no longer conflicts with important social concerns. 

At Castl, we therefore always maintain good contact with NGOs and organizations, which we support wherever possible. Despite all the justified discussions on the subject of AI, we believe in the positive power of the new technology for social development. From an economic perspective, one could argue that only a steady increase in productivity can maintain prosperity. However, demographic change means that a sustained increase in productivity is not possible in many countries. AI and robotics could compensate for the decline in young workers and provide a new boost to growth.

If we as a society succeed in taxing AI and robotics sensibly in our own country, the proceeds of the added value they generate will remain in the country and could, for example, relieve the burden on the population in times of change via an unconditional basic income. In this context, the idea of the UBI (Universal Basic Income) would not be a punishment for the hard-working and a reward for the lazy, but possibly a necessity resulting from the newly gained value creation with AI and the associated changes in the labor market.

AI could free many of us from the yoke of soulless, repetitive work and the newly unleashed intelligence of machines, unleashes the true potential of humans. 

At the CASTL Cyber Applied Science and Tech Labs, we are dedicated to the development of new, previously unknown technologies. We are unadapted and knock the square peg through the round until it is through. We do not respect the status quo and believe that a path is created by walking it.

That is the spirit of CASTL.

What does the name Castl and the wing emblem stand for?

CASTL stands for Cyber Applied Science and Tech Labs. But we also like the meaning of CASTL in the words “broadcasting” and “castle”.

The castle has always been a place of protection around which many people have settled. There are also said to have been the odd party behind castle walls and, of course, castles were also the starting point for many a successful expedition.
